Musicians

Music will be performed live by four musicians:

            Keyboard

            Guitar

            Bass

            Drums

Diane Johnson:  A political purebred, and granddaughter of revered former governor D.K. Johnson.   Diane is currently serving as Lieutenant Governor and running for the state’s highest office.  Diane is a liberal republican whose ambition since her childhood has been to earn the office that her grandfather held with such acclaim.

Victoria Johnson:  Diane’s mother, the family matriarch.  She values her privacy, and wants Diane to live according to more traditional values.  Victoria is hiding a dangerous secret that could surface and damage Diane.  She is a very powerful woman.

Blake Sullivan:  The democratic candidate for governor, Blake is an up-and-coming young politician, but he's not given much of a chance to win.  He is the Democratic Party's sacrificial lamb.  When the Independent Party unexpectedly enters the race, Blake suddenly becomes a contender.

Spider Brown:  5-time Cy Young Award winner and Baseball Hall of Famer.  Emperor of car dealerships and product endorsements, Spider's fame and charisma help make him one of the most recognizable people in the state.  His surprise candidacy blows the whole race wide open.

Justin Nelson:  Green Party candidate, Justin, is a trustafarian from a blue-blood family.  He is the son of Kate Nelson and the grandson of Rupert Nelson.  Rupert Nelson, founder Nelson Industries, was DK Johnson's biggest contributor and close personal friend.  Justin has known Diane Johnson for his entire life. He is running against his family as much as running for governor.  He has forsaken the family business in favor of environmental causes.

Nancy Reynolds:  Trash TV journalist and front-woman for the tell-all, behind the scenes political TV show,  “The Ticket.”

Reverend Swanson:  Founder of the Chosen Ones Ministries, the Rev is a slippery televangelist seeking a candidate who will adopt a Christian platform in exchange for votes he can deliver.

Kate Nelson:  Daughter of Rupert Nelson and mother of Justin Nelson.  She is the life-long friend of Victoria Johnson.  Kate runs Nelson Industries, the biggest company in the state.  Kate is certainly one of the most wealthy and influential people in the state.

Gerald Tyler:   Back-room power-broker, Gerald owns Spider Brown Autoplex (and thinks he owns Spider Brown), as well as the TV station that broadcasts Nancy Reynolds’ show “The Ticket” and many other businesses.  Gerald, Kate Nelson, and Rev Swanson are the powerful people behind the scenes: pulling strings, manipulating outcomes, and making sure that they remain in control.
